My device does not recognize a newly introduced banknote, can I update it?

The software version which is installed on your device may not contain the security characteristics of this new banknote. Update the currency software.

Go to, customer service section. Select 'downloads'.  Select the device category, product type and partnumber (can be verified on the product label at the back of the device). 
A list of available updates is shown.
