My device cannot count any cheques, what could be the reason for this?

In some firmware versions the cheques and credit cards have been switched off by default.  Download the currency update tool, install the software and go to the currencies tab. 
Place a checkmark next to cheques and credit cards, press [save to device]
At the same time you can choose to update your device to the latest currency tab. 
From the next count the cheques and credit cards will be visible on the device.
